inews.co.uk: A UK premier digital news platform known for its comprehensive reporting and analysis, catering to readers who value depth and reliability in their news sources.

The Problem

While inews.co.uk enjoyed a strong reputation for quality journalism, its digital presence felt outdated and struggled to meet modern user expectations for usability and engagement. The platform faced challenges in navigation, content discovery, and consistency across digital touchpoints, hindering user engagement and retention.

The Solution (Digital Updating and UX Design)

Digital Updating: Without altering the core brand identity, the focus was on modernizing the digital experience to align with current user behaviors and preferences. This included setting up the foundation of a design system and introducing a new layout that leverages the existing brand elements more effectively.

Design System: Developed a comprehensive design system that includes reusable components, design principles, and guidelines to ensure visual and functional consistency across the platform. This system facilitated a more agile development process and allowed for a unified brand experience.

New Layout: Redesigned the website layout to enhance readability, content discovery, and navigation. This involved strategic use of typography, white space, and color (within the existing brand palette) to create a more engaging and accessible interface. Key features such as personalized news feeds and simplified category menus were introduced to improve user interaction with the content.
